Testimonials from Lavender Book Fans
I am proud to provide comments from the many lavender growers and cooking fans who have liked The Art of Cooking with Lavender. Here, in their own words are what they have to say. First, lavender farmer Keri Roid, of Growing Miracles Lavender Garden in Roseburg, OR, talks about why the book has been a such a success at her festival and farm in a quick YouTube video.
Here’s some more typical comments from lavender growers:
Sandra Shuff, Evening Light Lavender
We offer cooking courses using recipes from The Art of Cooking with Lavender. We often pair up classes with the book, or actually shrink wrap a copy of the book along with several different sample packets of culinary lavender to sell as a unit. This has been very successful!
Anita Buehner
Highly recommend Nancy’s lavender cookbook. Just sold my last one this week. Her lavender cook book is simply the best.

This book sold out in 2 days when I offered them at our open house 2 years ago. I need to restock.

What’s inside the book is a treasure! We had a small dinner party over the holidays for lavender lovers and I made the meat balls, salmon, the winter fruit salad, and the individual triffles for dessert. Everything was complementary, not overpowering but flavorful and memorable. I think I’m now up to 30 or so of your recipes and every one of them has been a success.

I love the cookbook ! I’ve already made the Super Fudgy Raspberry Lavender Brownies!
Lora Porter
I am using your recipes at my events and my culinary lavender is selling like crazy. Hopefully you have had sales come your way.
Sheri Wood, Capay Valley Lavender
I love your book. It inspires me every single day. It is a great seller at my farm.
Laurie Hedjuk, Luvin Lavender Farm
Made the roasted winter tomato soup with lavender–it is wonderful!
Monica Bhide – Cookbook Author
I love all your books but I have to say that I am biased towards this one. Not only is it just beautiful but the recipes are fantastic. You have really outdone yourself.
Washinton Post Food Editor Joe Yonan
Maybe the best fruit sorbet I ever ate.
Amazon Reviewers–All 5 Stars
- As an avid Cookbook Collector, I consider this cookbook a great addition to my Culinary Library. Love the recipe combinations, tips and notes with each recipe. Even though I do have other Lavender Cookbooks in my home library, I am glad I bought this one. It also has beautiful pictures!!! I already have a jar of Lavender to try several of the recipes I want to try!
- I was lucky enough to be given a copy of The Art of Cooking with Lavender. It is a stunning book with incredible pictures and recipes. I have made up several recipes and love how easy they are to follow. The food was delicious. My book is covered with sticky notes with all the recipes I look forward to trying.
- I have lots of herb books, this has become my favorite one on Lavender. It was recommended to me by a local lavender grower. Lots of recipes to try.
- Nancy Baggett has always been one of my favorite cookbook authors. Now, she has turned her delicious attention to pale, sweet lavender. Ms. Baggett expands one’s palate in this gorgeous little book. Presented with a handful of lavender tied with a lace ribbon, “The Art of Cooking with Lavender” is the perfect hostess gift. But, keep a copy for yourself, too, see page 16, “Sun-dried Tomato and Lavender Bruschetta Spread with Crostini. Yum!
This is my new go-to hostess gift, because it is a beautiful and unusual book. Useful too. The cupcake frosting and barbecue sauce are now family staples. I had never cooked with lavender before, and it is easy and make dishes taste and smell delicious. Good pictures and easy to follow instructions. Strongly recommend.
